Our Mission

The TruLink Consortium’s mission is as follows:

“To establish and implement an Open Standard for hardware and software units to communicate with, and/or control, other hardware or software units.”

To accomplish this stated mission the TruLink Consortium has defined Four (4) core concepts that guide development and implementation of the TruLink Standard. These concepts are as follows:

1. Would allow a standard definition of OPC-DA links between pieces of equipment.
2. Would be S-88 Batch compliant and support validation efforts.
   
3. Would be “Dynamic” so as to connect OPC servers automatically when data or control is required.  This will allow multiple units to use common equipment via arbitration.
4. Would allow users to connect units and exchange data and/or control without having to understand the programming structure below the “TruLink” layer.

Membership in the TruLink Consortium is open to best-in class equipment suppliers and industry leading end-users.
